PTSD Watch

Will he get annoyed? Irked? Strike a tone? Fail to be sufficiently deferential? Temperament watch on John McCain catches him expressing frustration with an idiotic needling by a NYT reporter. I bet some grumpy old editor put her up to it.

NYT: Testy.

From the left … Aptly named Crooks and Liars: Flying off the handle! … OK maybe just cranky.

From the right … Malkin: Touchy touchy.

Ed at Hotair with vid: Strike Two for the Times.

Who wants to bet there’s a pool going to see who can get him angry?  If they really want intense, traumatic military service to be a disqualifier for office, I’d suggest the entire press corps show up at the next event in Ho Chi Minh masks.

McCain, who has always been very open and accomodating with reporters, is of course being targeted, while Obama, who is aloof with the media and leaves them begging for scraps, is mostly adored.

But hey, they’re objective, right? No political agenda here, right? Right?

In the event of another attack on US soil or interests, I’d rather have a president who gets angry than one who wants to sit down and “dialogue”.

  3. tanstaafl Says:

In the video of Ms. Bumiller asking questions, John McCain didn’t get angry or “hostile” (as Michael Calderone at Politico originally characterized the exchange).

McCain did seem a little irritated at the inanity of the questions.

While the NYTimes reporter was attempting a rather lame stab at “gotcha”.
