Its just his personal life, not any of the little people's concern.

He's a Democrat, he means well.

Just taking care of some poor women who couldn't break through the glass ceiling and were forced onto prostitution by the Bush tax cuts.

At least he didn't lie about weapons of mass destruction!

C'mon folks, try to get in touch with your inner New York Times.

I think the highlight of yesterday evening were the ex-Clintonista apologists out en force on CNN, beginning with Carville.

Carville: "Eh, whats the big deal, its not like he stole something..." (paraphrased)

Spitzer's wife is a lawyer and they have 3 beautiful daughters.

It's the saddest thing here. For them, not him.

As somewhere noted, in the atmosphere of even just 20 years ago, Spitzer would already have resigned. But in today's times, he is undoubtedly negotiating furiously with his high powered Manhattan lawyers to salvage something or to at least tying resigning from the governership with no jail time.

I have many examples of tanstaafl's law, and E. Spitzer is one more example.

To the extent that any single individual harps about "morality" and cleaning up the mess, such as Wall Street (formerly) or the Albany legislature (currently), that individual's own personal integrity and credentials become open to question.

In the video, Spitzer seems to have that Clintonian attitude of, "Okay, so I got caught, let's move on." His poor wife, on the other hand, looks the way you'd expect a woman who's been publicly humiliated by the antics of her knotheaded husband to look.

The guy is a liar and a cheat, never mind the hypocrisy. New York needs to get rid of him.

'Prosecutors reportedly have a series of e-mails and wiretapped phone conversations of Spitzer.'

'In a interview two years ago, Spitzer, then-attorney general, told ABC News he had some advice for people who break the law. "Never talk when you can nod, and never nod when you can wink, and never write an e-mail because it's death. You're giving prosecutors all the evidence we need," he said.'

This is as much about organized crime as anything salacious. If he was in bed with organized prostitution, he was in bed with organized crime.
