Electability
And after all the eye-gouging fun is over, a happy ending. Gallup:
A sizable proportion of Democrats would vote for John McCain next November if he is matched against the candidate they do not support for the Democratic nomination. This is particularly true for Hillary Clinton supporters, more than a quarter of whom currently say they would vote for McCain if Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee.
Rasmussen: 22 percent of Dems want Clinton to drop out. Ditto for Obama. The good news is, 62 percent want the party to bleed on.
Fear and loathing:
Josh Marshall at TPM, “Big, big problem.”
Mahablog suspects the “splitters are ‘low-information voters.’ Once they get a better look at McCain — a scary and possibly demented old man who will continue the worst of Bush’s policies — many are likely to get over their disappointment and come home to the Dems.” Judging by the rest of the post, I think ”low-information” might mean “stupid and/or not in agreement with the post author.” I’ve got bad news for Maha. They are the bitter diehards.
Speaking of bitterness, No More Mister Nice Blog: Vast moderate to right-of-center conspiracy!

most Democrats (most Americans) have never heard or read a single negative word about McCain, and most Americans are certain that he’s not really a Republican or a conservative.
Buh?

In 2004, the Dhimmis all said you had to have combat experience to be President, because being a fighter/interceptor pilot was tantamount to running and hiding, even though they celebrated the pussies who went to Canada as “heroes”. (I know its hard, but try to keep up OK).
Wonder where all that combat experience is this year? I mean aside from Hitlery dodging sniper bullets in Bosnia and all.
