War is Hill

Grizzled old vet Sgt. Hill recounts a dodgy moment, flying into sniper-plagued Tuzla on a wing and a prayer.
War ain’t over yet, kid. There’s still snipers in them hills. Hell-for-Leather Hill hits some flak, loses altitude. But the kid, a fresh-faced, wide-eyed lad barely old enough to shave who still think its all about apple pie and shafting Grandma, he comes through without a scratch. It’s like he’s got a bigoted guardian angel … Gawd, I hate this war. OK, at ease, smoke ‘em if ya got ‘em.
Speaking of grizzled old war vets, thanks for the link, Hyscience. That was inspiring.

Technically, it’s a Combat INFANTRYMAN Badge, not a “Combat Infantry Badge.”

That Hyscience video is the funniest thing I’ve seen all year.

I find it mighty comforting that Hilary! is out there on the front line, intrepidly braving sniper fire, helping to keep Americas safe for her version of socialism.
We ought to award her the Order of Stalin medal for extreme valor.

Dave, one would be hard put to determine who merits the Order of Stalin more, Hill or Obama. The one thing that struck me about Obama’s famous speech on race was that it ended with a call to socialism by all parties. That both parties feel, not only safe, but see overt socialism as a talking point is disconcerting. I hope like hell that we haven’t come so far. When McGovern tried this, he lost by a landslide. It will be interesting, and frightening, to see just how far down the road to the utter destruction of our country we’ve traveled in the intervening years.
