Fitna

Poligazette posts the Dutch Islamo-slam vid, at arm’s length. UPDATE: Dutch blogger Michael van der Galien’s Poligazette site shut down. He suspects a fitna fit, but as yet no word on what the problem is. Liveleak, meanwhile, took Fitna down due to threats.  So much for the Kumbayaism cited below by Weasel Zippers.  Liveleak statement via MVDG:

The Removal of “Fitna”

Official LiveLeak statement

Following threats to our staff of a very serious nature, and some ill informed comments from certain members of the British media that could directly affect the safety of some staff members, liveleak has been left with no other choice but to remove Fitna from our servers.

This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else. We would like to thank the thousands of people from all backgrounds and religions, who gave us their support. They realised LiveLeak.com is a vehicle for many opinions and not just for the support of one.

Perhaps there is still hope that this situation may produce a discussion that could benefit and educate all of us as to how we can accept one another’s culture.

We stood for what we believe in, the ability to be heard, but in the end the price was too high.

Gateway, “Let the seething begin ...” And, he reports, it has.

Malkin, “Prepare for more March madness,” updating.

Weasel Zippers’ review: “Pretty weak,” so weak that Dutch Muslims are cranking down riot worries. I’d suggest they don’t know their co-religionists if they think logic and fact will play a role in any reaction.

In other Dutch Islam-related media news, Gateway reports a new animated Motoon will be anatomically correct. I dunno, I like a good Motoon as much as the next guy, but that may be more blasphemous graven imagery than I need to see.

A short recon of what’s out there that might draw your attention, updated throughout the day…so check back often.

Although I didn’t see a particular reason for (what amounts to) a sequel to Submission, I can also appreciate being in “their” faces as much as possible.

At the very least, it should prompt a re-reading of Suras 4, 8 & 47.

  3. RebeccaH Says:

Being in their faces has less to do with it than reminding westerners just what it is they face. Considering the moonbat left, we can’t have too many reminders.

  4. tanstaafl Says:

I don’t think westerners who haven’t gotten it already are (necessarily) going to get it seeing a film like Fitna.

It is well done but is, essentially, a re-statement of much of what has been going on more or less continuously for the past 5 or 6 years.

But since so many western governments (at least) have become more aware, big scale radical assaults (like nyc, like Madrid trains, like London subways/bus) haven’t been “achieved” (as it were) and a lot of lower level plots have been interrupted before they could happen.

Which must frustrate the hell out of the ass hats.

Stop calling our religion violent, or we’ll kill you!

That link has been suspended by chickenshits.

  7. tanstaafl Says:

“There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence,” Ban said in a statement. “The right of free expression is not at stake here.”

Does Ban listen to the filth spewed with great regularity inside radical mosques in Britain, in the Netherlands and around the world ?

    Fitna was mild by comparison.

Oh wait, it’s the double standard of who is the insult-er and who is the insult-ee.

Ban Ki Moon might well be as inept and mewling as his predecessor.

(blub) B’but, where are all the brave entertainment, academic and media types who speak “truth to power”???

I guess they are only “brave” when there is no chance of any repercussions to their own comfort and well being.

When the going gets rough, the Left takes a sick day.

    Way to go, theo.

It took a bit of searching from the old site to the new site.
