Cruel wit by Howie Carr, re Obamawannabe Deval Patrick and his $1.3 million stepping-stone tome. I think Howie might actually be giving Patrick too much credit. Up from very humble Chicago project beginnings, bright kid makes good but the resume doesn’t show much to commend him to leadership unless you’re impressed by some journeyman civil rights lawyering, a political appointment as Clinton’s civil rights chief, the cash-out carrying civil rights water for corporations with issues, and a disastrous first-term as a Democratic Massachusetts governor who can’t get anything done with a Democratic legislature.
