Hang on. Althouse explains calling Hillary a whore is comedy. Well, humor does have to have an element of truth to be funny. Patterico re other funny stuff at Air America.

Crooks and Liars is scandalized. Effing whore is “Completely unacceptable.” Fascinating. Is a new standard of lefty discourse being set? Somebody tell Kos, FDL, etc.

Surber cruelly notes hypocrisy, intolerance. Powerline, howzabout when Rhodes called Bush a mass murderer? That was abusive ad hominem. 

I’m with Gandelman. I’m no prude in the language department, but entertainment and discourse in America has gone down the toilet.

   Same here. But this whole kerfuffle wouldn’t even be a blip on the radar if Rhodes had used that language on George Bush, or John McCain, or some other “Rethuglican”.
