His heart may have been in the right place, but he should have stopped to think: no white judge would dare ask all the blacks in a courtroom to leave before he gave a white defendant a lecture. Nothing is resolved by trying to hide the dirty laundry.

I agree. He meant well, but fell into the same trap that perpetuates division between races.
