   I recall a Reader’s Digest article I read, oh, back in the 70s, written by an Air Force wife detailing her stay in Turkey. She was warned by a Turkish cab driver that if she should ever find herself alone on a Turkish street and attacked by a rapist, she should not scream, as that would attract other Turkish men… who would then proceed to rape her. I don’t think they got that habit from the West.
