Hamas Hearts Obama
Anyone surprised? Cameron’s Corner at Fox:
During an interview on WABC radio Sunday, top Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef said the terrorist group supports Obama’s foreign policy vision.
“We don’t mind–actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance,” Yousef said in response to a question about the group’s willingness to meet with either of the Democratic presidential candidates.
Hamas, known variously for providing vital social services to the Gaza community, throwing rivals off rooftops and dragging them into the street for summary execution, firing rockets into residential neighborhoods, sending young people onto buses or into nightclubs with explosive vests, and vowing to push Israel into the sea, is all about principle and vision.
What’s not to like for Hamas? Obama’s the guy who wants to talk to their Iranian bosses, whose pastor shares their views on the filthy Zionists. And in politics its always about who you know, who’s with you. Carter’s been pretty soft on Obama. Hamas and Carter are like that. You’ll recall Obama earlier picked up the Iranian endorsement.
Meanwhile, via Commentary, Carter wanted a sitdown with Islamic Jihad. They rejected him. Insufficiently supportive of terrorism. Those guys have high standards.
