Debategate

I think the Obama campaign might have officially just stumbled over the shark. Obama attacks the debate. Obamist attacks Stephanopoulos. It’s a “gotcha-fest.” How dare they ask what everyone is talking about?

I know you’re running for president and are the very embodiment, walking among us, of hope and change. But you need to get over yourself, dude. As a professional tabloid journalist, let me tell you something about gotchas. You know they gotcha good when the got try to gotcha back.

Vid here via an Obama fan who confuses whining for mirth and humor and thinks we’re entering a new era. Memo to left field: there’s mirth and humor in that vid all right.  Same vid here from someone who definitely gets it: LA Times Top of the Ticket, “Barack makes a one-fingered gesture.”

If he makes it past Clinton, which, due to the eye-gouging and skyward-bound BS indicators, is still very much in question, he’ll have something to whine about and flip birds about.

Andrew Sullivan, charging cluelessness, asks several good questions, answers them, and yet remains clueless.

Look who’s bitter(er) now. But Daily Kos does a good job of rounding up the important issues ABC addressed in its controversial line of questioning, which if you don’t have time to read it can be summed up: How full of it are both of you, and why should anyone vote for you? Though I don’t think that was DK’s point.

Carpetbagger notes, inadvertantly, that Obama seems to think he’s running against Stephanopoulos now. Though I don’t think that’s what Carpetbagger meant to say

We could do this all day.  But really, it’s time to Move On.

One last, a little perspective and we’re out of here. Mark Hemingway at The Corner: People who live in glass houses shouldn’t shoot the messenger.

OK, one more. Fallows, with a deeply handwrung sense of betrayal.

Earlier related, It Takes a Village. Thanks to Memorandum for maintaining such a fine whine cellar.

Welcome Instapundit, Protein Wisdom, Althouse, etal. Always so good to see you. Come on in. Quick. There are Dark Forces abroad in the land. Y’all know what a Shtrafbat isLittle Nuthouse on the Prairie, such a heartwarming tale. Hey, check out who just got his 15 seconds of fame.

I just don’t know how the Ds do it. Just when I think I’ll have to blog about science or something important they provide a fresh round of new material.

Well there is always the occasional music video for a change of pace.

Eh, come on. George Steponallofus worked in the Clinton White House. It was hardly fair.

Imagine if Oprah was the moderator and Hillary had to take questions from her. That wouldn’t be fair, either.

The pain on the Left is of a master just bitten by his most loyal lapdog. Utter amazement, confusion and deep down psychological hurting that makes the physical pain of the bite pale in comparison. No one will remember, nor need remember, the actual questions. It’s the fact that they were even asked that is the true pain.
Yes, it’s fun to watch. Mostly because the intellectual vapidity that one has to maintain to stay on the Left is so easy to see when something like this happens. A presidential candidate “of, by, and for the people” being questioned about….things he’d rather not be questioned about!
    The horror!

But from what I remember the two cannot stand each other, familiarity bred contempt in that hothouse of a Clinton West Wing.

    oh and “Steponallofus”? really?

The Left has been betrayed by a blogger, herself an Obama supporter, who was careless enough to reveal a bit of what Obama and his supporters really think about Americans (Bittergate.) This is the worst thing that can happen to Democrats. They all love America, mind you. They just detest Americans and everything they do, say or stand for. But this fact must be reserved only for bien pensants at fashionable fundraisers. They all know they mean well.

And now their mere minions in the media have had the temerity to violate the code of Omerta. They must be punished. Petty, tabloid questions must be reserved for Republican candidates. The very idea a Democrat should have to justify his own statements is simply outrageous. There will be blood!

James Fallible is apoplectic, poor man. As an objective journalist, mind you.
