Song parodies

Everybody has a mania, to go campaigning in Pennsylvania.

Being the hack that I am, I write song parodies, posting one at midnight each night. It has its fans. And I even made the funny pages.

As to this one, what can I say?

I grew up in Cleveland.

I live in Poca.

I couldn’t find a Frankie Yankovic video, but here are the Andrew Sisters. Or (and I prefer) the Scrantones.

The parody:

Strikes count in bowling
Pandering has begun
The Pennsylvania Campaign.

Pick out your fav’rite
And be partisan
The Pennsylvania Campaign.

It started in Scranton.
Watch how the news gets so spun
Bitter’s how Barack framed ya
Everybody has a mania
To go campaigning in Pennsylvania.

Cheesesteaks in Philly
Interviewed by Scaife in P-burgh
She thinks she’s Rocky
This goes on and on until the dawn.

They’re all elitists
Pitying you
Or shall they say, “Yins”?

They stop to have a beer
Then the crowd begins to cheer
When they disappear, never seen again.

Wake up, the media
The speech has begun
The Pennsylvania Campaign.

Pick out a fav’rite,
It goes on and on
The Pennsylvania Campaign.

It started in Scranton.
It ends tomorrow
It’s bound to entertain ya
Everybody has a mania
To go campaigning in Pennsylvania.

More of my parodies are here.
