Blind hero
Don’t mess with Allan Kieta, 49, of Indianapolis.
He may be legally blind but he can bring you down.
A would-be burglar discovered that this morning.
Kieta’s poodle started barking at around 9 AM. Kieta opened the door and an intruder ran into him. That was a big mistake. Kieta used to wrestle. Kieta used his wrestling skills to bring the guy down and held him at knifepoint till police arrived to arrest the intruder — and take the intruder to the hospital.
The Indianapolis Star reported:
Kieta said he suffered swollen hands and a sore back, but no serious injuries.
“When my wife was cleaning the blood off, she said, ‘I think it’s all his,’” Kieta said.
The suspect, Alvaro Castro, 25, said he was an ex-boyfriend of Kieta’s 18-year-old daughter who had dropped by to see her. That’s why we have courts.
