Pork vacation

Taxpayers give $680,000 so teens in Miami can go whitewater rafting.

I guess the kids in Miami never saw water before.

Federal officials are throwing $680,000 to the North Shore Park and Youth Center in another example of how wonderful those earmarks are. Some of the money will go for vacations for the kids.

Attending the grip-and-grin for the grant were Republican Congresswomen Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Democrat Debbie Wasserman-Shultz.

”That’s a lot of white water rafting trips,” joked Ros-Lehtinen, the Miami Herald reported.

Ha, ha, ha. Real funny.

If it is so important to thrown this group so much money, why doesn’t Wasserman-Shultz use some of that $881,054 she has in campaign cash on the children.

After all, she’s unopposed.
