Tigerhawk Snipes
At Snipes, says he got off easy. Good point of the day:
Both Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson are left-wing. Washington contributed the max to Barack Obama, and Harrelson is a lefty activist with no end of weird ideas. Washington, at least, supports a presidential candidate who has vowed to raise his own taxes and those of Wesley Snipes. It fascinates me, therefore, that these and other almost certainly “progressive” Hollywood types publicly argue for leniency for a rich man who evaded his taxes.
That’s tens of millions that isn’t being funneled into all kinds of bottomless pits of good intention. Where’s the rage?

Lefty bazillionaires tend to be rather less than enthused about increasing their own tax bills, just other folks. If Snipes were are white Rethug, different kettle of fish I’m sure, he’d be a “hater” trying to cut school lunches for the ADHD children of single crack addicts .

Well, I know for a fact (I know, it’s the internet; but it’s true) that Denzel Washington has privately given away tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of dollars to charitable organizations working with wounded soldiers. He also aggressively visits the soldiers across the country.
He’s a great patriot. Truly great.
As to his politics, well, we all can’t be perfect.

Race Card! Hate Card! Celebrity Card! Triple Trump! These guys really should support The Fair Tax.

Fair enough Steve. I have heard that about Mr. Washington as well. In fact he is someone I greatly admire. I guess I just find supporting redistribution as public policy and then advocating for a tax scofflaw to be disingenuous.

Let’s see, when blue-collar workers vote against socialists promising them the moon and a ham ‘n cheese sandwich at somebody else’s expense they are, according to the Dems like Mr. Obama and many others, fools for not voting their narrow economic interests. That they may value patriotism and honor more, or suspect that the promises of the Progressives will turn out to be expensive lies, never seems to occur to the socialists so down on them. Yet here we have rich people doing the same thing in reverse, advocating election of people who promise to stick it to them. In other words, they are putting some other value ahead of their economic interests, narrowly defined. So why aren’t the Dems out saying how stupid they are?
Yeah, you don’t diss your wealthiest supporters. But that is the situation, by the logic the Dems themselves use.
The Democrats radiate arrogance as the Sun does light, and appeal to envy and selfishness to persuade people to vote for them, and they wonder why so many people think them unlovely.
