Train in Vain

Karl Rove’s advice for Obama. So sound, it could work. So sound, there’s not a chance Obama will take it. So sound, this lefty boils it down, presents it uncritically, no snide asides.*
- Get a new stump speech, the message in his current one has become old and tired.
- When you’re on the defense, as with Rev. Wright, choose one explanation and stick to it.
- Get back to the Senate and do some work there. His legislative record is thin and needs bolstering. He says, pick an issue and own it.
- Get back to the Senate, part II: Also, he hasn’t shown he has the unifying ability he claims in his red states, blue states unity pitch. He should introduce bipartisan bills that Republicans can get behind. Also, name some specific Republicans he’d put in his Administration.
- Stop the partisan attacks. Don’t do what you criticize. He’s supposed to be above partisan politics and should act like it.
- Offer up more substantive policy proposals. No more bluffing.
So sound, the lefty blogger wants to know if Hillary can have some, too. Gotta love it when that happens. It’s almost as though Our Dark Lord Rove has mystical powers that the lefty respects and in the depths of despair is willing to grasp at, preferring eternal damnation to the void. Here’s the whole thing, at Newsweek. That accompanying art appears to be Obama wondering where his train went.
* Lefty commenters, on the other hand, like nervous, nattering rodents can’t help themselves and are imagining all kinds of devious Rovian plots, double plots, double-reverse plots. Apparently not getting the most diabolical plot of them all. Obama ignores Rove, keeps doing what he’s doing, and if Hillary doesn’t croak him at the convention, McCain will in the general.

[...] in a testament to the upside-down nature of this campaign, some are begging Obama to take Rove’s advise! And I don’t know how either candidate is going to handle the SCOTUS saying dead people [...]

Our Dark Lord long ago instilled respect and abject terror in the souls of the left. So it’s no wonder some are beginning to think common sense ought to prevail in the Democratic primary campaigns.
