Jihad To Be You
You know Osama’s desperate when he starts singing Palestinian love songs. The problem is, he’s been stuck in that cave so long, he can’t quite grasp that everyone’s pretty much had it with Hamas.
OK, everyone but Jimmy Carter and the French. NYT:
PARIS — France confirmed Monday that it had been engaged in contacts with the leaders of Hamas, the radical Islamic group that is running Gaza, for several months to try to better understand its positions.
The Bush administration, which recently likened talks with Hamas and other groups to appeasement of the Nazis, criticized the French for the contacts, calling them unhelpful. There was no immediate comment from the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah, who has said he will not talk to Hamas, which he accuses of carrying out a bloody coup in Gaza last June.
The French foreign minister, Bernard Kouchner, said there had been no negotiations with Hamas, labeled a terrorist group by the United States, Israel and the European Union.
“These are not relations; they are contacts,” Mr. Kouchner said on Europe 1 radio. “We are not the only ones to have them. We must be able to talk if we want to play a role.”
Thanks, France. That’s holding the line on terrorists. Correct me if I’m wrong, but in the last couple of months, Hamas has maintained a pretty steady barrage of rockets on Israeli towns.
Anyway, I know all readers of this site patronize the advertisers, but I’d like to call attention to the attractive, scary-looking young woman with a knife modelling Pat Dollard’s “Jihadi Killer” line of apparel at right. I know it’s not PC, though I can’t imagine why. Get yours now before a new administration gets voted in and he has to start selling shirts that say “Paradise is for Jihad Lovers,” and “Submit To Me, I’m A Jihadi,” and “I’m Proud of My Suicide Bomber” and “My Parents Went On Jihad and All I Got Was This Martyrdom Belt.”
