Not Till The Last Eye Is Gouged
Hill via Newsday: “This is nowhere near over.” Quick roundup re tonight’s fights:
Washington Post: Hill puts up new fight, jihad vs sexism
NYT: As time runs short, Hill claims popular vote lead
CNN: Obama opens up biggest poll lead yet
NYT: Obama expected to hit a milestone in today’s votes, but won’t declare victory
ABC: Obama questioned on why he’ll spend Kentucky/Oregon election night in Iowa. ”It’s out of eye-gouging range.”
Ha ha, he didn’t say that. He didn’t have to.
Washington Post: Dems observe fragile ceasefire.
Sure, it’s all about McCain now. It’s all about Hill making sure she can deliver her supporters to Obama. Yeah, OK. However, ”In a signal of how fragile the detente between the two sides is, the Clinton campaign sent out tart memo yesterday under the name of communications director Howard Wolfson calling the Obama rally in Iowa ‘a slap in the face of millions of voters in the remaining primary states and to Senator Clinton’s 17 million supporters.’ ”
I’m sorry, let me read that again. I’m pretty sure the Washington Post just called a Clinton campaign communication a ”tart memo.”
Clinton up 29 in Kentucky, Obama up 12 in Oregon.
Richard Cohen, Washington Post: Losing and quitting are two different things.
Reid Wilson, RCP: New map in November?
With thanks to Memeorandum and RealClearPolitics on the roundup.
