Sounds Like Someone’s Bitter
Disloyal opportunist trashes his former boss and co-workers with “surprisingly scathing” tell-all. Should sell well. I hope that lecture circuit works out for him. It’s a little late now but the boy is only 40, someone may want to tell him public attacks on friends, co-workers, the boss are not indicative of qualities anyone likes in an employee, a co-worker or a friend. That may be his next big “misguided” aha moment.
There’s always a demand for a professional liar. There’s always a demand for professional saps who will swallow and spit up whatever you want. The thing is, you want your hired gun to stay bought. The big question for McClellan, not addressed in Politico’s review, is the “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me for five and a half years, shame on me” issue. Why did it take so long for his scandalized conscience to kick in?
Ha. Someone else is bitter. The myth sometimes known as Glenn Greenwald indignantly cites McClellan in a bitter denunciation of the myth of the liberal media.

“Bitter” is the mildest term that I can think of. Maybe McClellan plans on blogging at HuffPo while cranking up the speech circuit.

Guess he thinks the Doomicrats are going to win and he’s angling for a job.

His real punishment will be having to deal with hoards of Truthers.

About That Other Press Secretary…
I don’t pay too much attention to these past-staffers’ exposes, mostly because they’re opportunistic, undignified, and unenlightening. The memoir book-tours do tell us a lot about poliltics, however, especially left-wing media hypocrisy.

There hasn’t been a worse press secretary in the history of the modern presidency. Every time I saw him sweating in the bright lights as he gave some robotic reply to a question I was reminded of the host of incompetents who populated the Bush presidency. Brownie, Bremer, Gonzales, et al — what a long and inglorious list of blundering asses. The incompetency began at the top, of course, with a smirking, tangle-tongued “windshield cowboy,” as George’s co-president of the Americas, Vicente Fox, put it when the honeymoon was over after Bush couldn’t deliver on the big amnesty package.

the *really* interesting thing is that if you trace back the ownership of the publisher, it’s George Soros’s company……
as seen on LGF:

The price was right.
Scott, like E. Spitzer’s prostitute, better enjoy his fleeting 15 minutes of fame.

Banjo:
Oh please. Blaming Bush is just not fair. I remember Reagan, the great Reagan and his little friend Regan who helped get that whole Iran/Contra thing going. That resulted in Poindexter in jail. Casper was pardoned I believe and Nancy Reagan never spoke to Ollie North again.
And then there was Clinton with George What’shisface’s book that was such a big deal for about a week. Not to mention all the people in his administration who were indicted for something etc.
Anymore it is as a two term president just has to have something like this happen.
And don’t forget Nixon.
