Hollywood stars talk the talk, but do they walk the walk? Fox

Hollywood’s gone green — or so everybody says. Whether they’re driving hybrid cars, shunning bottled water or making do with just one square of toilet paper, A-listers from Natalie Portman to Brad Pitt are joining the eco-chic bandwagon.

But who’s really green, and who’s just an imposter?

Pretty much all of them.  “One Sheet” Laurie David, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, John Travlota, Madonna, Natalie Portman. But it’s not easy being green, when you’re a jetsetter. Here’s a telling quote, from the mouths of greenies.

“What Natalie Portman is doing with her shoes, even if they’re not as green enough as they could be, she’s saying she’s concerned enough to try and maybe other people will try too,” Environmental Media Association President Debbie Levin said. “Nobody’s perfect. If you have to be perfect, you have an environmental crowd of like three people,” she added.

Yeah, well, if you want to save the planet and you’re not living in a grass shack in the Amazon shooting arrows at passing airplanes, you’re really not trying. Chickengreenie.

Well you have to understand that they’re using up all of that kerosene so those nasty old truckers can’t turn it into diesel and pollution. That is so good of them and you should be thankful for their assistance. /do I need one?

Natalie Portman’s shoes are made of synthetic material — anathema! But if they’re made of real leather, what? The murder of innocent animals!

The problem with the so-called “green movement” (which brings to mind certain digestive disorders) is that they can’t get their message together. Or their thinking. Or anything that would constitute a reasonable, well-ordered passage through this life.
