Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em
Stop me if you’ve seen this already. I’ve been out of circulation. Froggy a couple of weeks ago helpfully points out the poor taste of anti-smoking Euro do-gooders. ”Why Europe Will Fall Exhibit 524795,” The Dissident Frogman:
It’s almost worth letting the Russians and/or Islamofascists have the place … Europe … seeing as the Germans aren’t in that game anymore. As Froggy notes, “The ‘visual’ is totally irrelevant to the ‘message’, as this is definitely not your average cemetary: the human beings buried under these specific crosses did not die from nicotine poisoning.”
Froggy also references a weird Franco-trend … exhibitionism and porn shoots at war memorials and graveyards. UK Telegraph.

The American cemetary at Normandy is now an anti-smoking ad? Normandy!
That is truly disgusting.

It seems to me that the message received (almost certainly not the one intended) is that members of the Greatest Generation, you remember, the one which liberated Europe, were real men, men who smoked.
