God Loses That Lovin’ Feeling
Gustav’s predicted New Orleans landfall ahead of the RNC “just demonstrates God’s on our side,” former DNC chair Don Fowler said Friday.* Print via Herald, vid here.
But it looks like God might have changed his mind about that. Officials cautiously optimistic as a weakened Gustav sideswipes New Orleans. Bummer for Dems. via Herald.
* Dem gaffer attempts to weasel foot out of mouth by invoking Falwell and adds:
“There is no political connotation to this whatsoever,” said Fowler. “I don’t believe in a God that’s vengeful. I believe in a God that’s compassionate.”
I dunno. God’s probably having a good laugh at the squirming blasphemer about now.

It might have been a joke (although a mean-spirited one), but the main point is, it was a massively stupid thing to say by a politician who knows he’s not alone in a closed room. As such, it is so typically current-day Democrat.

Fowler either doesn’t care who hears him, or he simply wasn’t thinking.
Hmmmmmm…….probably both, now that I think about it!

Yea. Then half baked idiot, smiling and laughing his ass off as he was saying it, tried to blame “right wing nuts”, for his utterly ignorant, don’t give a damn attitude and words.
Gee, I just described most if not all, Democrats.

Speaking of…How about a THE, between “then” and “half”, idiot. Geez.
