OK, Now Panic! … I Dunno, Something Like That
Gloria Steinem: Affirmative action is wrong! Ambitious, accomplished woman doesn’t belong on a national stage. Women deserve power, except when I don’t agree with them. Republican baby mamas belong in the kitchen. I dunno, something like that.
Alter at Newsweek: Please, Obama has been inexperienced much longer that Palin, and is more prepared to be more inexperienced in high office. I dunno, something like that.
Huffpo: Lefty women impressed by Palin, inspite of themselves. I dunno, something like that.
The Nation: We know you are, but what are we? I dunno, something like that.
Judis at the New Republic: Great speech. Now it’s up to the lefty media’s smear campaign to deal with this. I dunno, something like that.
Joe Klein, TIME: Angry McCain camp, at war with the press, wants you to think there’s a smear campaign going on. Press on with your righteous Jihad, my ink-stained brothers, do not falter now. Allah akhbar! I dunno, something like that.
Meanwhile, from the mouths of Brits. UK Telegraph: Palin gets the spiteful Thatcher treatment.
There are few sights more bloodcurdling than the liberal pack in full cry. The viciousness of the attacks on Sarah Palin is a testimony to the degree of panic her appointment has generated in Leftist circles.
With thanks to RCP and Memeorandum.
Different, related, via Castle Argghhh!!!, our religious zealot is a better shot than their religious zealot. I dunno, something like that.

Note to Gloria: Maybe women wouldn’t have to make the decision to give birth or abort if ‘impregnated by rape’ if they could practice shooting wolves from the air. By the way, who do you think wants to let all of the rapists and girlfriend and wife-killers out of jail? Obama and his pal, the unrepentant terrorist, Bill Ayers.

Joe Klein is, and has always been, a far left-wing shill. But I believe I detect an undercurrent of fear in this latest diatribe.
Sarah Palin has put the fear of McCain into the Dems, which is something McCain himself couldn’t do. Good for her.

The “caring and sharing” side of the aisle is a wonder to behold isn’t it? I have seldom had a better time watching politics.
The Nation constantly depicts Condi as a domestic, big lips and all. If they are that hard on a woman “of color” still suffering from 400 years of slavery, just imagine what they will do to Governor Palin.
The Steinem thing is especially clarifying. She supported Hillary even though she had to ride some powerful man’s coattails to get where she got, and was remarkably talent free to boot. But she doesn’t support Sarah Palin even though she did it all with 5 kids in tow and a husband off swinging a hammer.
NOW. Heh. If a bird flew in there they’d all point. For accuracy, NOW should really be the National Organization for Liberal Women. .
I’m going to need Neil to explain all this nuance to me.
