The Fat Lady Gargles
Hey, I thought Obama was supposed to be running away with this thing. What the heck is going on here? Some kind of political campaign? Zogby:
UTICA, New York - The race for President of the United States remains far too close to call between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain as both candidates head toward the finish line, a recent Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking telephone polls shows.
The survey, including a three-day sample of 1,220 likely voters collected over the previous three days - approximately 400 per day from Oct. 5-7, 2008 - shows that Obama holds a slight advantage amounting to 1.9 percentage points over McCain. This represents a bit of a recovery by McCain, who had been sliding in some polls before his running mate, Sarah Palin, put in a strong performance in her one and only debate performance last Thursday.
That’s odd. I could have sworn everyone said she lost that debate. Uncommitteds hearted Biden! This can only mean big trouble for Obama, given how much the uncommitteds hearted him last night. Even if 72 percent of uncommitteds remains … uncommitted after the debate.
Three Day Tracking Poll
10-7
10-6
Obama 47.1%
47.7%
McCain 45.2%
45.3%
Others/Not sure 7.7%
7.0%
Yow. Zogby’s pre-debate polling has seven percent not yet enamored of the Messiah with a 2.4 percent, inside-the-margin split? Lessee, quick triangulation, that means something like five percent still uncommitted post-debate … with the newly committed roughly evenly split between Obie and McCain.
Don’t these people know about the anointment? See the frikkin light already. Come to Obama!
Meanwhile, Gallup, apparenlty polling other people, gives Obama at 11 point lede.
There’s only one thing to take from numbers like this. The tea-leaf readers still haven’t polled the one person in America who knows which way this thing is really going. You know her. We all know her. Gore and Kerry sure do.
She’s the fat lady. The one who, contrary to some reports, doesn’t warble till Election Day.

My greatest fear is that the election will be so close it’ll have to be legislated, which means the ignoramuses of the losing side will scream “another election stolen”. If the Democrats lose, expect trouble in the inner cities, when the gangstaz realize they can use that as an excuse to start a riot and loot to their hearts’ content.
