The North’s KCNA news agency said of the visit: “walking in the compound of the barracks, he (Kim) watched the thick verdure formed by trees of various species …. and praised the women soldiers for having tended even a single tree and a blade of grass of the country with ardent patriotism.”
Thick verdure … single blades of grass tended … they’re not trying to warm everyone up to the Juche idea that Kim’s a veg, are they?
Meanwhile, the United States reportedly is ready to remove North Korea from the terrorist blacklist … as a reward for the usual North Korean obstructionism. Sky News:
US President George Bush decided to go ahead with the move after Kim Jong Il’s government gave assurances over its nuclear activities.
The move follows days of deliberations within Mr Bush’s administration after a visit by US envoy Chris Hill to the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, last week.
The drive to revive the talks comes after North Korea stepped up efforts to rebuild its nuclear facility at Yongbyon and banned UN monitors from the Soviet-era plant.
The US now expects North Korea to announce that it has resumed the process of scaling back its nuclear programme.
So does this mean that North Korea is out of the terrorism business? Won’t be shipping anymore nuke technology and missiles to assorted terrorism-supporting regimes? All done abducting and murdering?
Channeling AP via al-Jazeera (axis of media evil) apparently it’s provisional, and the K’s can be placed back on this list if they don’t behave. Which they won’t. Vote Obama! Hey, I thought he said the Bush admin isn’t negotiating with Kim.

He’ll see the light when Obama gives him a stern talking to. Obama’s eye roll is particularly devastating, we’ll see how Mr. Ronery Hearts handles that!
