Drugs, Money

And an innocent six-year-old as collateral. No leads in the abduction of Cole Puffinburger. The cops might want to follow the money. In fact, they might want to send the money man out with a sign on him. Cops establish link to drugs. $8-$20 million worth of beef between a Puffinburger relative and a Mexican drug cartel. Las Vegas Review-Journal

The disappearance of 6-year-old Cole Puffinburger this week was related to illegal drug activities involving the boy’s family, Las Vegas police said Thursday.

The case involves “significant amounts of money and drugs” and “a number of drug deals that have taken place,” Capt. Vincent Cannito said.

He declined to elaborate on the drug deals or who was involved in the scheme, citing the ongoing investigation.

Sources said it’s believed that a member of Cole’s family owes a Mexican drug cartel between $8 million and $20 million.

Sources described the family member as an alleged money launderer for the cartel. The family member is in hiding.

Here’s an idea. How about a swap. If the relative is a dirtbag criminal, give the relative to the cartel. It’s a win-win. Give the relative a GPS enema, and it’s a win-win-win.

Here’s the Amber Alert information:

Six-year-old Cole Puffinburger is a first grader at Stanford Elementary School. He is 47″ tall, weighs 48 pounds, has blonde hair, blue eyes, distinctly stained front teeth, an overbite and wears prescription glasses.

Cole was last seen wearing a black John Cena wrestling shirt, dark jeans, and a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt with black, blue, and white stars.

An Amber Alert has been issued and News 3 will provide more details on that information as soon as it is available.

However, we now have one description of the three Hispanic males who are suspects, all of whom speak with a Hispanic accent.

The suspect is described as having black, shoulder length hair worn slicked back, looks to be in his early 30s, stands 5′7″ and weighs 150 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Robbery Section at 828-3591.
