Hopefully not too dirty. Carl Prine polls western Pennsylvania, finds strong Obama support … among hookers and johns. Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
Based on the prostitutes’ voter registration cards, they’re destined to become Obama girls in November. That’s because 78 percent of them registered as Democrats. Countywide, Dems make up only about 62 percent of voters, according to the Division of Elections.
The Illinois senator also has the advantage with local “johns” — 72 percent go Democratic. And convicted pimps: Four out of every five register Democratic. And for the most special of special interest groups — male transvestite hookers — they’re batting a thousand for Dems, albeit in drag.
“For years and years we had politicians paying too much attention to hookers, so it’s great to finally see hookers paying attention to politics,” said Dan Fee, a top Philadelphia Democratic consultant who helped Obama’s Pennsylvania primary campaign.
I don’t know about you, but I’m amazed any hookers are registered at all. May want to check to see if ACORN signed ‘em up, and whether they even know they’re voting. A bunch of hooker jokes and details on hooker vote outreach ensue. Drivethrough voting might work best for the johns.
Carl, by the way, is a great guy and a friend who makes occasional cameos here. Former Marine, came back from being an embedded reporter in the invasion of Iraq slightly unhinged, like everyone else, but in his case unhinged enough to enlist in the National Guard. After which he came back from Iraq with the door pretty much hanging off. That hasn’t prevented him from doing important work like this, however. In fact, it probably helps. I just suggested to one of the other editors at El Heraldo that we steal this idea, but we’re running out of time and a lot of our resources are currently tied up in exploring issues surrounding the state senator last seen stuffing cash into her bra.
