Hurtful
Backbench also-ran, dissed and ditched by the cool kids for State, gets praise from one of the other nerds for praising Hill. When you consider that, aside from some constituent services, the one thing John Kerry did in life that was worth a damn, taking command of a U.S. Navy river patrol boat in Vietnam, he bailed on four months into a yearlong tour, I guess I have to praise Obama for considering the nation’s interests ahead of any political considerations … though those apparently were negligible if the job went to a junior senator who wasn’t even the nominee. With Hill, at least we might still ask, and know the answer to the question “Why do they hate us?” Instead of having to ask, and know the answer to, “Why are they laughing at us?”
