Al Qaeda No. 2 Blames Obama
Ha ha, they called him “No. 2.” OK, sorry, this is serious business. Some guy with a turban who lives in a cave in Waziristan and really doesn’t get out much anymore is blaming Obama for Israel’s invasion of Gaza. It’s “Obama’s gift to Israel.”
“This is Obama whom the American machine of lies tried to portray as the rescuer who will change the policy of America,” al-Zawahiri said, according to SITE. “He kills your brothers and sisters in Gaza mercilessly and without affection.”
OK, OK, American machine of lies, blah blah blah, you’re preaching to the choir on that one. Except he fooled the machine of lies, too, Allah be praised. But who’s to say, despite recent positive developments, Obama isn’t going to fool all of us again?
Look, I’m not inclined to defend Obama on much of anything, but at least let the guy get into office and … hopefully … actually kill some of Old Goat Beard’s jihadi brothers and sisters. Coke Bottle Specs has been pretty rude lately, and I just hope Obama gives him good reason to keep tossing the insults. It’s got to be one of the cooler things about being president. Aside from hanging out in the Oval Office, making calls on the red phone, having the nuclear football around, ordering up free room service in the middle of the night, making open-mike remarks about bombing Russia, being met by mobs of angry anti-globalizationists and Code Pink types, all that. Being flamboyantly insulted by al Qaeda. A’jad and Hugo, too.

Think of it more as Israel’s gift to Obama.
Israel knocks off Hamas. This leaves Israel to take care of Hezbollah and Syria while the U.S. and Iraq deal with Iran. Once that’s done Iraq and, in due time, Iran can provide support for Azerbaijan and Georgia against Armenia and Russia while the U.S. and India deal with Pakistan.
In the meantime we can get to work freeing American school children and college kids from academics and the NEA.
