P.J. O’Rourke, apparently over his post-election funk, starts enjoying the Obama circus act ahead of time. Weekly Standard:
Is it too soon to talk about the failed Obama presidency just because Obama isn’t president yet?
Not at all. But they’re all a little gaga over the Inaugur-a-palooza right now, and the blinding light of the Messianic ascendancy will have them blinking for a long time. They haven’t figured out they’ve been had. Though when they finally turn, it could be ugly. O’Rourke declares Obie neither good nor bad enough … which is to say, no P.T. Barnum … for the task of miracle work he’s laid out for himself.
