“Out Standing In His Field”
It’s that time of year and the accolades are piling up like so many horse puckies. But this is among the finest awards this blog has ever received: “Best Armchair Warrior” in the 75th Annual Maggie’s Farm Blog Awards.
Other winners of the coveted MoFo* here, here, and here. My equally coveted ICEIE “International Blog of the Year” here. I just want to add that fine, highly principled award programs such as these serve to show how shallow, empty and meaningless some other so-called “award” competitions are.
* Technically it’s the MFBA but that doesn’t trip off the tongue as easily, so I took the liberty of streamlining it to make it more appealing to the younger people. Who otherwise might lack an appreciation of the way Maggie’s Farm neatly straddles the gaping chasm between 19th-century agrarian sensibilities and 21st century net sophistication. And this is probably a good place for me to declare MF the winner of Crittenden’s 1st Annual Best Farm Blog award.

Congrats on the award, Jules! Oh, and the million dollars too, in your Grand Cayman account.
