Indecision
Lack of principles and faulty logic prized. Forbes list of 25 most influential libs draws heavily on people who have a hard time making their minds up:
Andrew Sullivan, whose disturbingly tight headshot brings to mind what Hitchens must have seen as he tried to tongue Sullivan the other night. Cynics might suggest Sullivan’s multiplicity of positions on any number of issues ensures that throughout the course of the Obama presidency, he can influence views on any number of issues in a variety of ways. However, I believe after all the flitting about, Sullivan has found his true political love.
Glenn Greenwald, Gumby-like as always. Scourge of Obama will keep him honest on Gitmo with lengthy, earnest blogposts.
Matthew Yglesias, only 28. May explain the naivete.
Christopher Hitchens. May want to check your watch on this one. The ex-neocon socialist was feeling uneasy on Inauguration Day.
Thomas Friedman, another paragon of principle and logic.
Josh Marshall, heralded as a rising light of the new media, he is noted in matters such as the ACORN voter registration scandal for key insights into how misdeeds are in fact a form of victimization of the perpetrator.
Chris Matthews, “reliable cheerleader” with a thrill running up his leg.
Bill Moyers, “Eminence grise.” The towering paragon’s standards of objective journalism will be highly influential.
Jon Stewart. Comedy is vitally important in the New Dawn of American Leadership.
Maureen Dowd … “meow.”
Oprah. Maybe the most significant name on the list. Millions of people actually pay attention to what she says and do what she tells them to. Her deeply held principles have always kept her above the political fray, except where Obama is concerned.
Ariana Huffington. It is important to consider the views of fashion-conscious socialites.
Kos. Speaks to the high level of discourse we can expect in the New Dawn.
Topping the list, Paul Krugman. EnNobeled economist wants the government bailout upped to $3 trillion because, as he said on NPR the other night, it really isn’t that much money. Also thought Saddam wasn’t that big a deal, Bush was a fearmonger, and Al Gore is a prophet.
More at the link. All Americans hope the Obama administration will be successful, of course. But if in fact these people are the most influential libs, this administration’s greatest success may be Republican wins in 2010 and 2012.

Surely, Mr. B. Hussian Obama name should be there?
During his senate term, he voted mostly “present!”
Even now does not like to answer the reporters serious topics without a teleprompter.

Olberman and Colbert are little fleabiters not worthy of anyone’s list.
