Mullahs In Space!
Iran’s new presence in space is about spreading “monotheism, peace and justice.” A’jad via BBC:
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the launch had been successful and that with it Iran had “officially achieved a presence in space”.
The satellite, carried on a Safir-2 rocket, was meant for telecommunication and research purposes, state TV said.
France has expressed concern, saying the technology used was “very similar” to that used in ballistic missiles. Iran insists its intent is peaceful.
I guess the big question is, given past practice, whether they actually launched anything at all, and if so, what. Gateway … with art showing rocket plus gantry slightly more robust than the cranes the mullahs use to hang homosexuals … links to a FOX report noting that there is no independent verification. Back to the Beeb. It’s a rocket named “Hope” … hey, good name:
The launch of the Omid (Hope) satellite had been expected and was clearly timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Iranian revolution, says the BBC’s Jon Leyne in Tehran.
Mr Ahmadinejad said the satellite was launched to spread “monotheism, peace and justice” in the world.
But the launch could cause alarm in the West because of fears the technology could be used to make a long-range missile, possibly with a nuclear warhead, our correspondent says.
No kidding. Especially when you consider the other half of A’jad’s peace and justice agenda. via MEMRI:
“It is the very advocates of liberal democracy who defend the Holocaust, who have sanctified it to the point where none may enter. Breaking the padlock of the Holocaust and reexamining it will be tantamount to cutting the vital arteries of the Zionist regime. It will destroy the philosophical foundation and raison d’être of this regime.”
More rhetorical fun with Ahmadinejad at the link. Back to that rocket, the spread of monotheism via satellite is an interesting idea. Not sure how that is accomplished, and anyway, the western world, to include Israel, the United States, Europe and the greater Islamosphere, already have it.
Tigerhawk on badminton diplomacy, goes deep, notes we’ve played on this court before during the Clinton admin. The current program was in fact started under the hated Bush admin. The difference is, that carrot came with a stick.

Ahmadinejad’s spreading justice and monotheism, is another way of threatening the West. Since Islam’s speading anything is always through violence and death.
Just last week, this little criminal man during a specialy ceremony handed another Hamas criminal Samir Kuntar, who smashed a child’s head in front of her Israeli Dad, a medal and a royal treatment. Kuntar thanked Ahmadinejad for their continued supported of Hamas and Hezbollah.
Iran’s Islamic Government rulers are all terrorists and should be dealt accordingly. Iranian people are fed up with their evil government.

The Iranian Shiite Islamic dictatorship started with Ayatollah Khomeini vision of elimination of Israel, & fall of U.S. Most important goal of every Shiite to bring the last Imam and convert mankind to Islam by heralding the end of times.
Kohmeini lectured his followers ” killing is the same as mercy. To kill or to be killed are Muslims highest calling, and war is a divine blessing.”
Present clerical Islamic fasicst leaders & Ahmadinejad call Israel a “dead rat” , a cancerous tumor to be removed from the face of the earth, and America the Great Satan, these lines are serious, and they do mean what they say.
