Obamateur Hour
Never mind his actions. When was the last time a pol’s name lent itself so readily to mockery?* Obamadortion. Obamarama. Obamanation. Obomination. Omerica. O’Bama. Osama. Hussein. OK, not nice to make fun of someone’s name. Back to his actions, here’s Steyn on Obama’s Obamateurism.
* I’d like to thank Rahm Emanuel, by the way, for informing us that we’ve been behaving presidentially all this time by subjecting the opposition to mockery. The last administration saw that as more of a vice-presidential role. Though Obama’s other innovation, the part about not basing mockery on actual facts, seems more congressional.

I think most of us on the right were determined not to indulge in any form of derangement when it came to President Obama. Despite the fact that he’s not our guy, we wanted him to do well, if only for the sake of the country, and most of us were willing to hold off on the ridicule.
His first four weeks in office have made that impossible. But at least our ridicule will be intelligent and funny, and largely free of swear words.

I think Mr Obama is a secret Maple Leaf fan.
