When Simians Attack
The big mystery is why a beloved member of the family turned on his keepers, in a mauling that led to a tragic death by cop. Authorities are looking at the part about him being fed Xanax for anxiety. I’ll hazard that the part about him drinking wine from stemmed glasses may have something to do with it. That and, to judge by both story and photo, the steady diet of steak, lobster, ice cream, etc. You know the old saying. Spoil the chimp, and he’ll maul the hand that feeds him. OK, I just made that up. Sounds like the life of a washed up TV star is hard on pongids, too. I have some limited experience with lesser primates. They get cranky in their old age. Much like greater primates. A life of dissoluteness doesn’t help in the greater primates, and I’m guessing is a recipe for a mauling in the lesser primates.
