IDF Hit Parade

It’s Zionist-Oriented Metal. A friend of mine just got back from Israel with a couple of CDs recommended by his IDF pals:

Synergia. They’ve got a kind of Israeli Linkin Park thing going on.

Ha Yehudim. “The Jews.” I like it already. They rock, in Hebrew.  Not bad, could stand to thrash it out a little more.

Couldn’t find any Synergia downloads on Amazon, but here’s a couple from Ha Yehudim: Mechapes T’shoova and Ela.

I have no idea what any of these people are singing about. But it goes good on the iPod with some Berbers I am a major fan of, offsets some Islamic calls to prayer I downloaded recently. If you’ve spent any time in greater Derkaderkastan, the latter is hauntingly beautiful background noise, soundtrack to your life in the zone. Goes good with AC/DC’s Hells Bells if you want to set up a Fallujah vibe.
