Senate’s pork-packed $410 billion spending bill gets bogged down, as Reid is forced to pass a stopgap budget as disgusted Dems peel off. Apparently this bill isn’t passing the smell test. via Yahoo:
Several lawmakers took to the floor during the week to defend their projects, including Sen . Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, who backed $1.7 million for pig odor research.
This sounds like important research. Could help explain why the big stink on Capitol HIll isn’t wafting down Pennsylvania Avenue.
