Turns out Obama’s not the only one who’s rude to Brits. UK Telegraph: Muslims shout abuse at returning Tommies.
A group of around 20 men in traditional Islamic dress held up banners and placards that read: “Anglian Soldiers Butchers of Basra”, “Anglian Soldiers Criminals, Murderers Terrorists” and “Baby killers”.
As the battalion, which is nicknamed The Poachers, reached Luton Town Hall the small group shouted and yelled “Terrorists” and “Anglian Soldiers Go to Hell.”
The police had to move in protect the protestors from angry old ladies and others who objected to the Islamic welcoming committee and regretably directed some bad language at them. Vid via Blair. Another march is planned in Watford, along with another protest.
Slightly of topic, but while we’re on the subject of Britain and manners … I know the Obamas are excited to meet the queen next month. Don’t want to show up emptyhanded. Let me suggest something nice. Maybe something in Blu-Ray.
