His Evilness Speaks

Our Dark Lord Cheney turns his adversary’s own light saber against him: Obama’s using the economic crisis as an excuse for the “greatest expansion of federal authority over the private sector in the republic’s history.” I dunno, FDR and LBJ set that bar pretty high.
Ironic echo of the Left’s insistence that Bush’s wartime presidency was a historically evil expansion of presidential power, while it was pretty clearly an exercise in keeping with past wartime presidencies that has yet to have the dire consequences predicted … though there’s still time seeing as Obama’s surrendering little on that front. Anyway, long life, good health to Cheney … he’s always had a gift for cutting through the crap.
His enemy’s campfollowers are reduced by the horrible truth to feeble efforts at mockery and putting words in his mouth. It’s a sort of retrospective “do-nothing” argument that suggests 9/11 wasn’t that big a deal.
The communications instructor also known as John Cole shows signs of getting it, though I think it’s a stab at irony. Cole, you dope, don’t you know everything is that Cheney minion George Bush’s fault? The Annointed One has thus spake. Repeatedly.
Red State: No show without Punch!
Hot Air: Cheney would pay to see a Rush-Obama debate. No kidding … make it pay-per-view and you could probably eliminate the federal deficit with the take.
Malkin: Obama admin open to taxing health benefits. Sounds like a good plan … make private health care unappealing, drive people to the government kind.
Extended excerpts at Powerline … Cheney Unbound. Was he ever?

Dick Cheney may well be the most important and valuable public servant in the past 50 years (with Don Rumsfeld a close second). Their demonization by the left is only proof positive of such a notion.

I’m reminded of something Dick Cheney said way back when in response to a reporter’s tendentious query. It was with these words that the future vice president won my heart for all time:
“I disagree with the premise of your question.”
As I blogged a couple of years back, Don’t mess with my Dick!
