He always took it. And it isn’t the only thing he could teach the new guy. Bush re Obama via AP:
Former President George W. Bush, making his first public speech since leaving office in January, says he wants Barack Obama to succeed and that it’s “essential” to support the new leader.
Bush declined to critique the Obama administration in Tuesday’s speech, saying the new president has enough critics and that he “deserves my silence.”
Former Vice President Dick Cheney has said that Obama’s decisions threatened America’s safety. Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh has said he hoped Obama would fail.
Yeah, well, here’s how that works. Bush was, and is, presidential. Cheney was, and apparently still is, the attack dog. Rush is a talkshow host. Obama and his admin haven’t figured any of that out yet. AP notes that some ill-mannered Canadians were outside throwing shoes. Neglects to mention any of Obama’s shoe-throwing.

Whatever anybody may think of Bush, he’s always behaved in a civil, even genteel, manner. Obama is just a clueless boor.

President Bush is a class act. How could he not be hurt by the vile lies told about him? How could he not want to lash out at his attackers? Yet, he never did. He never called out David Gregory and bitch slapped him on national TV. Or any of the other Lame Stream Media. What he was and is, is Presidential. Breeding shows. As does lack thereof. Hence we have Bill Clinton and Jimmah Carter. And hopefully in 2013 former President Obama.
