Gorenalists Nabbed By NKs

Sounds like something from “Team America: World Police,” but it’s real, and given North Korea’s history of bizarre abductions and holding people for decades, it’s potentially problematic.

AP: Two Americans working for warmal laureate Al Gore’s Current TV seized by Kim Jong Il’s regime. They were ordered to stop shooting on the China-North Korea border and didn’t. A Chinese guide, who may be in a lot more trouble, was also nabbed. Another American Gorenalist, Mitch Koss, got away but the whereabouts of Laura Ling and Euna Lee at last check were unknown. US State Department, with an assist from the Swedes in Pyongyang, is pushing for info and their release.

No mention of this at Current TV, a “peer-to-peer” news site that makes heavy use of green graphics and likes stories about pot, but that’s not unusual for an organization with abducted journos. The silence, not the “green” and “stories about pot” bits.
