Unemployment Spike
Feared in Massachusetts. UMass study predicts 9.1 percent before summer at the current rate, with the prospect of double digits. And that’s not even the worst part. Boston Herald:
Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) said the new numbers “put an exclamation point on the problems we’re trying to solve” but he insisted “help is on the way.”
Really, it’s OK, John. Report for other duty please.
Here’s another quarter heard from:
State Sen. Scott Brown [(R-Wrentham)] said Massachusetts’ soaring unemployment can’t be blamed solely on the worldwide financial meltdown.
“We’re making every effort to tax people back to the stone age,” Brown said. “The whole mentality is making it not a business-friendly state.”

Ah, once again John Kerry demonstrates how useless he is. Mayhaps The Won™ will make him the Ambassador to, oh say, New Guinea, or maybe San Francisco.
