Point, North Korea
NK rocket launched, not shot down. NYT, which reports it’s a desperate cry for attention. In a statement, President Barack Obama states firmly that North Korea’s action is a threat to the northeast Asian region and to international peace and security and a clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1718 and he will immediately blah blah blah.
DPRK News unfortunately is a little behind the curve and at last check Sunday morning was still announcing the pending launch, due to happen “soon.” DPRK does however have an item about some poor bastard, 100 years old, who spent the first 35 or so being beaten by the Japanese Imperial Army and the next 60-odd slaving for the Kims as an agricultural laborer. Kim Jong Il feted him with food.

They are trying to bleed North Korea dry through the inflicting of a thousand paper cuts from “strongly worded letters” and “letters of reprimand”, etc. Sadly, the Norks will probably welcome the letters, as they can be burned for fuel in the stoves and firepits. Sigh.
We’ve got Elmer Fudd and Wile E. Coyote running the country.

If only. Elmer Fudd and Wile E. Coyote would do a better job.
