Glass House Charge
LGF claims a Bush bow and advises the right to stop hyperventilating about Obama’s. It looks more like Bush is bending to receive some kind of Saudi gong. Not quite the same as Obama’s gratuitous abasement of the office of the presidency, though LGF’s point about decades of deference to a backward absolute monarchy that has been playing both sides of the street is well taken.

As much as I respect Charles Johnson and his blog for the untiring battle against Islamicism, I think he’s wrong in this case. It wasn’t a Bush “bow”, it was Bush bending down to have a medal put around his neck. Obama’s bow wasn’t a “contortion”, it was a bow, performed by the American president to a monarch, anathema to this nation borne of a revolution to abolish royal rule. It was an insult to Americans, and politically stupid, and deserves far more attention than it got in the MSM.
