NK Satellite Launch Hailed Abroad!
The Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union released a statement on March 31, in which it expressed deep apprehension over the reckless moves being made by the United States and its followers to hinder the launch of the experimental communications satellite “Kwangmyongsong-2″ by the DPRK, a sovereign state.
The statement said that the United States’ outrageous interference in the internal affairs of the DPRK, a peace-loving state, is intended to dominate the world and, furthermore, violate the sovereignty of the DPRK and other countries.
Damn. We PO’d the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Again. (If only it were true. Not that the Soviet Union still existed, but that Obama should be capable of actually P’ing them O, or doing anything but delighting them.) Meanwhile, a little more on the mission of Kwangmyongsong-2. DPRK News again:
It is sending to the earth the melodies of the immortal revolutionary paeans “Song of General
Kim Il Sung” and “Song of General Kim Jong Il” and measured information at 470 MHz. By the use of the satellite the relay communications is now underway by UHF frequency band.
S’truth! Stone the bloody crows! Somebody laser that thing, quick!
Kim Jr. was on hand for the launch, poking his nose into everything, scaring the hell out of everyone. Thank Go … thank whoever Stalinist commie throwbacks thank that it went off well or we’d be down a few NK rocket scientists. DPRK News:
Expressing great satisfaction over the fact that scientists and technicians of the DPRK successfully launched the satellite with their own wisdom and technology, he highly appreciated their feats and extended thanks to them.
It is a striking demonstration of the might of our Juche-oriented science and technology that our scientists and technicians developed both the multistage carrier rocket and the satellite with their own wisdom and technology 100 percent and accurately put the satellite into orbit at one go, he noted, repeatedly praising the patriotic devotion of the scientists and technicians who are playing a vanguard role in the drive to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation.
Sighs of relief all around. I bet they got to celebrate with food!
Meanwhile, in other socialist-throwback propaganda, I can’t think of anyone better than my colleagues across the expressway on Morrissey Boulevard to report on the Obama admin’s response. Boston Globe wire-rewrite: Obama admin sternly threatens blah blah blah.

Interesting, those reports, considering that our own folks report that the missile in question failed to put anything into orbit and instead landed kerplunk into the wide open Pacific.
Typical situation. they pretend to launch a missile, and we pretend to be outraged.

It just dawned on me that DPRK News is reporting on the annoyance of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union because they have never told their people the glorious workers’ paradise of the Soviet Union is no more. The Juche paradise is probably waiting for Putin to reestablish it.
