Also-Ran Slams Geo-Political Special Olympics

What is it with world leaders and jokes about the disabled these days? From Ahmadinejad this time, who says that for maintaining a nuclear stockpile, the United States is “mentally handicapped in the game of politics since they have failed to realize that the era of bombs, military actions and threats is long over.”

It’s the effort that counts, and Iran has put its all into the games in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq and domestically, Natanz, but so far has failed to win, place or show.

Reeks of sore-loserism, but this race isn’t over, and A’jad’s current competition can’t even bowl straight.

  1. bloc Says:

“. . . they have failed to realize that the era of bombs, military actions and threats is long over.”

That’s the key phrase — it’s vintage 1960s rhetoric. And 1960s rhetoric and ideology is where BHO and his coterie are mired.

Come to think of it, the left — including BHO — might well buy into the 1960s notion that a military and war are obsolete, and, further, that anyone who thinks otherwise is “mentally handicapped.”

I think A-jad’s just trying to reinforce the left’s inclination for disarmament. I wish I could say his rhetoric is clumsy and ineffectual . . . but . . .
