Man-Caused Disasterists Persecuted
NY Daily News: Homegrown jailhouse Islamists planned to blow up synagogues and shoot down planes in New York. They bought their fake explosives from FBI plants posing as al-Qaeda. Gotta love it when that happens …
The suspects - three U.S.-born citizens and one Haitian immigrant - at least three of whom were said to be jailhouse converts to Islam, were angry about the deaths of Muslims in Afghanistan, sources told The News.
“They wanted to make a statement,” a law enforcement source said. “They were filled with rage and wanted to take it out on what they considered the source of all problems in America - the Jews.”
Chuck Schumer says the good news is these guys weren’t linked to any terrorist group. Schumer apparently thinks al-Qaeda is like the Masons: To become one, you have to ask one.
In any case, I’m glad that law enforcement, despite the important new focus on the right-wing extremist threat posed by disgruntled conservatives and returning war veterans, was still able to focus on this non-al-Qaeda-linked al-Qaeda-like operation. But I have to object to the identification of these gentlemen as “Muslims” and “terrorists,” because that is hurtful and plays into the politics of fear that still surrounds man-caused disasterism.

It appears that this is one of those cases where the group was under surveillance for a very long time and helped along in what turned out to be a bogus plot orchestrated by federal authorities.
O, when will the feds stop persecuting Muslims and forcing them into man-caused-disasterism!
