The Meaning Of Life, The Universe & Everything

Get yours here.

I’m ranked No. 42 in the Top 100 Wikio political blogs, by an algorithm that “puts everyone in the same pot. The list has mainstream media blogs — from ABC News, CNN, The New York Times, and others — alongside well-known partisan bloggers — Michelle Malkin, FireDogLake — and even government-run bloggers, like WhiteHouse.gov’s,” says ABC’s The Note.

Sheesh. It looks like it might be the shameless link whoring. I knew it would pay off some day.

But I seem to recall that 42 is the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything.*

It’s like the universe is speaking to me, via Deep Thought. Maybe I shouldn’t quit for the summer after all …

Ranking by Wikio

Uh oh. I notice at the Wikio link I’ve slipped to 46. Not exactly meaningless, but for a math idiot non-savant like me, it might as well be. Wikipedia:

Forty-six is a Wedderburn-Etherington number, an enneagonal number and a centered triangular number. It is the sum of the totient function for the first twelve integers. 46 is the largest even integer that can’t be expressed as a sum of two abundant numbers.

46 is the 13th semiprime. 46 is the third semiprime with a semiprime aliquot sum. The aliquot sequence of 46 is (46,26,16,15,9,4,3,1,0).

Since it is possible to find sequences of 46 consecutive integers such that each inner member shares a factor with either the first or the last member, 46 is an Erdős–Woods number.

Notice that Ross Douthat is at 56. Abandoning his blog for the NYT op-ed page doesn’t seem to have hurt him that much!

  2. mojo Says:

Sure, 42 is the answer, but what was the question?

    What no me!!!!!!
