Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr...

The Boston Herald’s Howie Carr had to be handcuffed to his hospital bed to keep him down. The scourge of hacks, hoods, deadbeats, welfare queens, etc., is also a hard-working, highly professional, old school Tabloid-American who is a pleasure to work with. He may have already turned in his column for the day, or it may be his off day. But if something breaks and there is a hack, hood, deadbeat or welfare queen, etc., who needs to be scourged, all you have to do is call Howie and within an hour he’ll deliver a piece of meanspirited work. No wonder they had to chain him down. Two weeks? It’s like a summer vacation for hacks. Get well soon, Howie!

Good grief. What kind of hospitals do you have there in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts? Have they never heard of foam-lined leather?

    What?

He doesn’t know about laptops? Being bedridden is no excuse for those who have such strong work ethic.

If he does find himself growing lethargic during his convalescence, he can try yelling at the talking heads on TV news. That always helps me motivate up some get it doneism.
