Do Or Die

Red Sox down a deep post-season hole. Boston Herald: Been there, done that. Don’t much like the look of those Yanks, though, who stopped screwing up right around the time the Sox started this year.
Howie Carr: There’s only one thing that can save them. Put “O-bel” Prize winner Barack Obama on the mound. Is there nothing he can’t be hoped to do?
It’ll be a perfect perfect game: 81 pitches, 81 strikes, at least if the home-plate umpire knows what’s good for him, if he doesn’t want to be called a . . . well, you know what Barack’s Kool-Aid-swilling cheerleaders call anybody who dares say the emperor has no clothes.
Speaking of the race thing, here’s an argument I hadn’t seen yet. One of my favorite Herald lefty pals, Peter Gelzinis: He deserves it because he’s black.
Anyway, we get a respite from the relentless soap O-pera in Boston today. It’s October, and the Sox are down a hole.

“… and the Sox are down a hole.”
Yankee fans want to know: shouldn’t there be a hyphen between the last 2 words?

Now the Pats have been spanked by Denver, which mocked the Pats by wearing silly jester socks! Beantown’s out of gas! Obama, where were you when Bluest Mass needed you!?!
